Hi,
I'm kind of new this forum so I hope that this is the correct place to ask for help and also that the image is attached properly.
If the image is attached, you'll see that it is water damaged. Any suggestions on how to restore this particular type of problem?
Thanks
Dave

Hey Dave
Welcome to the forums.
I had a quick go with the remove colour, dodge and burn, and some cloning.
I could have been more careful but this took me just a few minutes. (and I'm not one of the swiftest ones)

Thanks Will
I was surprised at how well the dodge or is it burn?? worked.
I know I should know the difference.. I just keep forgetting. I have been told it MANY times:D

This is how I remember the difference between dodge and burn.
I am not a great cook---anything I burn--turns black. Burn--black.

Hi There
Good job Gary.... I'm afraid I over worked this one a little. But did just about the same except I did start out using the blue channel from grants tools to remove the stain and kept it a RGB... if we had a few more pixels we could do a better job. This is a good picture to colorize.

Butch
Great job :)
I still don't quite have the hang of channels. Mind you, I did check each colour and found the stain to be pretty prevelent in all 3.

On my machine the blue channel had a even color so I used it... still a lot of artifacts but it gave me a even start that I could then use levels on

I just rechecked while you were posting and my blue was pretty good too.
Turns out I was hitting the RGB channel. I wasn't reading the labels :o I was thinking rgb was the first one
I just added a quicky levels to mine and it came out bettter.

Oh very nice work on the image from both of you ... and thanks for the info on channels too. That will help a lot of people get their heads around how to use channels :)
