Browser question

If I export the picture from the browser after processing to a folder in say my pictures called down load to the internet.

Question, If I then download those pictures to say SmugMug then delete them from that folder, will the images that remain in the browser still be there.

Iv'e notice that for some reason, if you delete the pictures that are copied to another folder then deleted, the picture left in the browser loses a link somehow and cannot locate the image when I try to do some more edits to it.

The "image" you see in the Photo Browser is only a low resolution thumbnail, not a copy of your actual image.
