How to make subject look like it's coming out of the frame

Iv'e seen pictures that look like the subject is coming out of the frame, can someone direct me to a tutorial for this effect please.

Here's a written tutorial from a little different angle but with the same result. It was written for Photoshop but has instructions for Elements. Plus it will expose you to using a mask. One nice thing about the mask, you can add to or subtract from your selection easily and it's real visible. This was the first border breakout I did...I took an online class from Janee.
