Hey all!
I just posted my very first pictures to my gallery. I am a little nervous about posting them. But, here goes! Your opinions are welcome. I used a technique displayed in the photos of the week gallery. I just can't remember who to credit. I will find it, and give proper thanks. In doing this, I have learned the implicit importance of adjustment layers!

You have just made my day! It took several tries to get exactly what I was looking for. I learned so much while doing it. I plan to continue to learn and try new things! Baseball season is about to kick off for the little boy in these pictures....:eek: I am excited to see what can come of that!

Hi ..

Now that you have started your Gallery why not add a link to it at the end of your messages .. To do that just:

Click on User CP at the top of the page then on Edit Signature and copy and paste this into it:

[333url=http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/viewgallery.php?user=xxxx] My Gallery[/url]

Where it says My Gallery type in what you want to show in your signature.

Now remove the 333 and where it says xxxx type in your user number. Make sure that you don't add any extra spaces ..

To find your user number ... click on Access my Gallery then click on "Share my Gallery" and you see the user number there.

Very nice!

I watched that video once and was going to try it. Can't seem to find it again. Was it one of the Dave Cross videos?

Looks good!

I will have to look. Last week I was looking at the photos of the week gallery when I came across a photo that depicted this technique. I just studied it, and tried to 'do' the same thing. I know that watching the video on adjustment layers, and border breakout helped tremendously. I didn't actually use a border breakout technique for these files, but I learned about stroke outline...etc. I sure wish I could point you to a direct path. I used adjustment layers, photo filters, and a LOT of the 'save selection'.

Great job on the picture! He is a very handsome young man & I'm sure you will get TONS of great baseball pictures to play with in Photoshop! :) Also, just wanted to send a "boomersooner" welcome to you - I live in Edmond just north of OKC but our oldest son graduated OU & we are HUGE fans! I, too, have learned so much from this site & hope to get more involved in posting. Can't seem to always find the time to do ALL that I want!

Hey Freeze Frame!
Great to hear from you! My dog's name is Boomer! I live just East of Norman, and drive here to campus corner every day for work! I adore my son dearly. And often wonder how I am doing as a parent. But, fears are laid to rest when he sees and OSU insignia, and relays that OU is the only COOL place in Oklahoma! He is a hoot! This forum is great. I have learned so much from these people. It is hard to concentrate on my work, all I want to do is photography!!!! :D

Your gallery looks great! I have a wedding to 'do' on July 1st. I am a little nervous. But, this one is for a dear friend of mine, and she has allowed me to do it. I have done other things: parties, an entire T-Ball season, things she can go off of. She is going to make this transition easy for me, by allowing me to photograph her wedding. Your wedding pictures are great, and are a great inspiration. The bride is stunning! Great pictures!!!!

Hi Tina, Wonderful photos. I think it is great that you could just kind of do that effect in your head. I have to follow each step to the tutorials for now. You will love this forum - but be prepared to give up some other things for extra time - because it is very very addictive!!!

You guys are great! Thanks so much! Friday is a big photo day this week. And a birthday celebration this weekend. So, hopefully by Sunday, I can do some more fun work. I am thinking about doing a negative project. I will be looking around at the talent (on this site) this week for more inspiration!
