Painted Edges Tutorial

Hi, I've been trying to do the painted edges tutorial but I am having trouble at the paint part. I have my photo resized to 4x6 and 300 dpi for printing. I have gone through all the steps with the adjustment layer, black on the adj. layer icon as in the tut. and a white layer . All 3 layers look just like the video, BUT when I start painting with white, it goes fine for about 3 or 4 strokes and then the program freezes up. I have done other tuts with no problem. Anyone else have trouble with this one? It's not a new one. Could be a cmputer problem I suppose, but I am not having any other trouble.

I doubt very much that it would be anything to do with the tutorial you are following ... have you tried doing it again? .. and does it stop in the same place ??
