I was just realizing as I picked up my mail today - that I have not even opened my last six decorating magazines that I subscribe to. That is two months. It used to be that I could hardly wait until they came and then getting into a decorating project or shopping. Now, it is all Elements, camera and this forum. I am excited that I am going to pick up my new Fuji in about an hour. Maybe not as exciting as getting a new DSLR but I am excited about my 10x zoom.

Mike - I just picked it up. An S5200 because I wanted the 10x. I also got it for $399. Cdn. because they matched a price I had seen on the net. I think I was very lucky as I got it for less then it cost at Costco. I have 15 days to try it out and see if I am satisfied and otherwise I can just pack it up and return. I'm still keeping my Finepix F700 as a pocket camera though. So I'm off for a few hours to check out the manual - and my husband is going to make dinner!!!

Hi Karen,
It's still in the box. Until Barry has his surgery on Monday, I just can't face anything that requires too much engaging of the brain. Playing in Elements is fine.......I actually find that quite therapeutic.......it takes my mind off other things.
So I'll probably have the 'grand unveiling' of the camera next week.:D

I know all about the adiction as well. I was a bass fisherman but, since I got PSE4 and subscribed my boat has not been wet. That is 4 months and it's spring in Arkansas for sure.

I was going to ask when he was having his surgery. I will definitely be thinking of you and praying for your family. When the time comes I'm sure you will have some fabulous pictures to show us.

Hoping all goes well with the surgery, Robyn.
Carol, I know what you mean about the fall/spring cleaning thing. If it were not for the fact that we had new carpeting installed my place would be declared a disaster area.
Between working on pictures, this forum and managing my internet store, plus I hold down a full time job outside of the house, there is just no time! I have to sleep sometime!:)

Didn't you know the reason we have guests to stay is so that we will do some REAL housework to make the place presentable for our guests (and/or family)

Karen ...
When people are coming to stay it certainly concentrates the mind on getting all the cleaning done :)
My Mother is coming here mid April and I have now started cleaning all the place that haven't been done in a while ! :)
