Not that anyone here would ever do a thing like this but it does show how dumb some people can be and how observant some others are :)

Three to share $25,000 reward for return of Bata slippers (http://www.cbc.ca/story/arts/national/2006/03/22/bata-reward.html)

Hey that was a fun read ! Ya, that's just it...I think some people at the labs pay a little too much attention to pics tho. Years+ ago when Mum was involved in the horse shows she had the opportunity to take some close up shots of the Queen Of England because the Queens daughter was participating in the Equestrian events ...anyways, to make a long story short....both the negatives and photos disappeared from the lab. Not too long ago ( my pre-kid days ) my hub took some 'artistic' shots of me...the negs and pics disappeared. That was about 16 years ago...in the same area I'm currently living. Soooo, imagine how I've been feeling about that all these years. I pass a guy in the street who looks at me a certain way and I'm wondering...is he the one with my pics ??

Jodi, I think I may have found those pics on the Internet  . No trace of the negatives though.

The slipper story reminds me of another I saw (on the news) several years ago. This woman gets together with her boyfriend. They kill and dis-member the husband taking several photos as they do it. Yes, they actually took them in for processing, were quickly arrested and convicted. DUUUUH!!

Now I always print my own pictures but there is no place safe from the law with cause for investigation. So I'll not pull one of those jobs just to be safe.

Tony - that's a great story. I worked for several years (14 to be exact) in the felony division of the courthouse and it would astound you how dumb some criminals are. My favorite is always, of course, the guy who robs a bank and uses his deposit slip to write the note on - with his name and address printed on it.

Jodi - have you seen the movie One Hour Photo?
