:eek: Hi Bill, I've never had a personal thread posted to me before. Just a little shocking. I've never saw a black & white of Lake Louise. It sure hasn't changed much over the years has it? I think I was about your age when I first saw it. Soooooo, when you coming up again? This year is supposed to be really nice weather. If you ever decide to come up, let me know because I would really enjoy meeting another User, Elements that is :D . Oops, forgot to guess... 1953?
Brian :)

Hi Brian
I knew you would recognize it from the picture in your gallery. The background is amazingly similar, including the location of the glaciers.
My son David will be working out of Revelstoke this summer so I hope to be able to spend some time near you.
That was our first trip to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. It had to be after the war (no gas during the war) so I would guess it was in '46 or '47. Our second trip was in '56 and we came by way of the Kananaskis Highway.
Several years ago we made it to just south of Kootenay National Park when DW wanted to come back. This time we will definitely make it to Banff and Lake Louise even if I have to put DW up in the Château. (Wouldn't mind that myself).:)
I'll keep you posted.

Ah geez Bill, I first guessed 1950 and then changed it. OK, you've got me curious. What or who is DW? I think I figured it out Bill, Duh Wife?

:D :D Carol, I'm sorry. I always say, "The Wife". I thought the Americans might say, "Duh Wife". Oh sometimes I kill myself when you point out my imperfections. That was a real lol;
