Hi

I am trying to find a book or other source of information on importing and exporting photos from and to Microsoft Word files.

The MS file may have multiple photos along with text. I want to remove a photo, resample it (change the number of pixels) and then return it to the MS file.

Thanks in advance
Bernie K

Hi Bernie,

Here's basic instructions. In performing this process, you may lose some qualilty in your image file.

From Word to Elements:
Right click on the image in the Word document and then click Copy
Go to Elements
From the menu: File > New > Blank File > OK
Then from menu: Edit > Paste
Do what you wish to the image in Elements.

From Elements to Word:
Save the image as .jpg or .tif (or whatever format you wish) to your desktop using File > Save As from the Elements menu
Go to Word
From the menu: Insert > Picture > From File
Look In: Desktop
Click on the image file you saved there
Insert

Hope this helps.

Bernie -
Just a question - are you using windows or mac? With mac there is a much easier way - of just clicking and dragging from one into the other.

Hi Diana and BNK

Thanks for the info. I'm familiar with word but I'm just learning PE 4.0. I find PE to be a very unforgiving program when interfacing with word. I can do the same thing two times but get different results and don't know why.

Tomorrow I'm headed to the library to pick up a book called Photoshop elements for the digital photographer.

By the way I am working with windows.

Thanks again
