Importing Vector Images as a Shape Layer

With PSE 1 and 2 I recall that you could copy and paste vector based artwork (eg from Photoshop or Illustrator) and when you pasted it you were given a choice of pasting as pixels (ie rasterizing) or pasting as a shape layer (which kept it vector based).

I don't seem to be able to find any reference to being able to do this with PSE 3 or 4. Does anyone know if this is a feature that got removed?

If it got removed does anyone know of another way to get a vector based image into PSE3/4 and keep it vector based? Thought Place might do it but it rasterizes it.

Alternately if anyone with PSE1/2 can confirm that you could do it with those versions I guess I could hunt up my old discs and reinstall.

Tony, just select your work in Illustrator and 'copy'...then open Elements,File> 'New from clipboard' and you get the message for pixel or shape layer.

Thanks Jodi. Just what I was wondering. I remember it worked that way in earlier versions but I couldn't find any reference to it in the recent ones.
