I was working through the video on Realistic Wood Texture last night and was doing fine until I came to the cookie cutter tool and the shape option. On the video there are many more frames available than I have with my version of PSE4. Where can I get all these extras? Also I assume that the frames can be saved for later use. Thank you all in advance for the solutions to this problem! :)

On the option bar, just right of the current shape, click on the down arrow. In this flyout menu, click on the right pointing arrow, then choose All Elements Shapes. You'll see them all in the flyout menu.

Else you can download free ones from Adobe Studio Exchange. They install in the Presets / Shapes (or Custom Shapes) folder of the Elements applicaiton folder.

Hope this helps!

Man alive that was a fast response. Do you have a bell that rings when there is a query ? Thank you Ray! Might look into the downloads when I perfect things a little.

Nope.. haha! I just happen to be around when you posted. Lunch break is over, so I'll be off-line now.

Don't hesitate to post again if you need anything else :)

<Else you can download free ones from Adobe Studio Exchange?>

I looked at this site and see all kinds of downloads. Shortcuts, acelets?, and others.

What is all this stuff used for? Maybe that is too wide open of a question, but how about a nutshell version?

Thanks

Hi there ...

Well .. Elements is able to use some of the things that are made for Photoshop, like brushes, custom shapes, displacement maps, gradients, patterns, styles .. so those you are OK to download and use.

Actions (which oncludes actlets, shortcuts etc) are Photoshop things. Actions are automated little programs which you are able to run, instead of you creating the effect the mini program does it fpr you. Elements doesn't have the capability of recording action although in some very limited circumstances it can use them ... but I suspect that the vast majority there are not Elements compatable. So I don't think that its worth even trying them ..

Hope this helps :)
