Hello, I am new to digital photo/ video editing. I have been lurking for a couple weeks, and last week finally purchased PSE4 and PE2. I am trying to subscribe so that I can take advantage of the tutorials offered here. For some reason when i click on subscribe now my browser is being directed to the adobe site where I can purchase PSE4 for a mac! Am i doing something wrong or is the link messed up?

Just call and subscribe over the phone... 866-808-2793 between the newsletter, the forum, and the tutorials, it's well worth it.

My name is Curt. Which is where the C comes from! the mx is from motocross. I use the same sn on a dozen or more forums because i cannot keep track of multiple sn's :D .
another Q. under downloads I noticed chrome. I am guessing this is like a color you can use? once you download it how do you get it into elements?

Hey Curt they are 'layer styles'...open the zip file and extract here;
C Program files>Adobe>Elements>presets>styles....just copy and paste into this folder and restart Elements..(or let the extract wizard do it).you will then be able to locate the chrome in the layer styles palette...styles and effects palette for starters.

Well Curt
Welcome to the family.
Tons of stuff in the subscriber area. Almost overwhelming. I think when I signed up there were just over 20 videos and I had a hard time getting it all straight. I have no idea how new people can cope :D :D

Hello Curt,
WELCOME, I hope you don't have much planned to do but if you have forget it.
You'll finish up an ADDICT to elements, just like the rest of us.
Kev.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Yes, there certainly is plenty to learn. I must admit that I have barely messed with PSE4 yet. I have basically just been using the quick fix section on photos that I am using in PE2. I have been concentrating on learning PE2 because I want to get a DVD done for my science olympiad students. I almost have that project done, will probably finish this weekend, then I will start playing with PSE4.

No kidding!!! First I couldn't get out of the forum and since I became a subscriber ...... now I can't get out of the subscribers area :eek:. There is just so much stuff to try out and learn from. I must admit, learning from the video tuts is a great way to learn.
This forum is really a great place and you'll find the people here are always ready to give a helping hand when you get stuck on something.
Welcome to this great place of learning and you'll probably find that it's also just a fun place to be :)
