I just joined these boards after weeks of peeking in! The folks on these boards are great; always willing to help.
I am so totaly new to my digital camera (Minolta Max 5D) and PSE 3. Can someone give me help on making a postcard for a family reunion? I plan to use an old photo of our grandfather on the cover. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Rita and welcome to the forums!
Do you have a more precise question, like perhaps how to merge the images, or how to print on a template, etc.. Because this subject is very broad :)

Hey Ray,
Thanks for the welcome. In PSE 3, under make a creation, I merge my photo, then add title, save as. I think what I really need to know is how to setup the back of the card with message and delivery address. Is there another way to create a postcard. I want to print them at home and save the expense of envelopes. Hope this makes better sense; like I said, I' so new to all this.
Thanks for your time.

Rita, basically the postcard option only gives you the front and then you are expected to just hand print on the back....but if you really want to 'print' the back then create a new document in the editor portion of the program that is the same size as the post card and add the text you need for address etc... then when you print the front of your postcard just flip the paper over and print on the back...all you need to concern yourself with is being sure it's lined up properly so definietly test on plain paper with economy setting ink first ;)

If you have a large family, you might want to check out having them printed at vistaprint.com or cafepress.com. I know vistaprint has the option of free grayscale backs. And I believe they have psd templates--not sure haven't used them in awhile.
Then you could just print address labels.

Rita welcome to the forum:)
Please let us know how they turn out. That is a great idea to send post cards to friends and family with a picture we have created.
