Lock the Workspace

I am wondering if there is any way to lock the workspace. When I use my mouse to trace things (i.e. with the magnetic lasso) it's very very very annoying that I go all over the screen.

use the 'automatically tile windows' button in top right of screen. Yes it's annoying and it's a bug which I'm hoping they will release a patch for soon.
