Hi
I was just looking at the program virtual painter and wanted to know if there is a plug in or a program by adobe that does something similar, turning digital photos into paintings
Thanks Donna

Just a couple of ideas.

Take a look at the Impressionist Brush under the Brush Tool.

Also, in the Subscriber Area, under Tutorials...The "Brush and Blend" Art Effect.

Also, in the Subscriber Area, under VIdeos..Painterly Effect.

There is more, but that is a start.

Deep Paint (http://www.download.com/Deep-Paint/3000-2191_4-10398243.html?tag=lst-2-7) - used to cost many $$$, but now it's free - works as a plugin or as a stand-alone application.

You might also want to play around with another freebie called Impressionist (http://trimoon.com/html/downloads.html) - look for the link called "Impressionist Plugin" on the linked page. There's also a ton of presets there, as well as other places on the web, for different paint effects.

Both are excellent tools -

ya what's up with Deep Paint anyways ? I'd hate to be the bugger that paid for it at one time. As for me I simply have to preserve space on my computer so I will refrain from downloading it.
