...spruce this up? What kind of frame??? All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Sabrina
My daughter just moved into a new house and this fellow (along with his wife and babies) live in a nest 12 foot from her house. Kinda weird to see this in a neighborhood. She says she will not have any trouble with snakes in her yard.

Great shot of the eagle. I'm sure someone wiser than I will have some good ideas for you. Just wanted to comment on your photo. Carol

Hi Sabrina- Carol's right, it's a great shot, and I wouldn't choose anything that would take away from that. There are lots of things you could do. You could try out the showing off tutorial on this one, if you haven't done that one yet?
I played around with taking the branch from the photo and making it a frame. I'm not sure if it's too overbearing?
(Obviously, you'd want to spend more time with it to get it all lined up):

Sabrina,
Just done this very quickly, but how about just a plain mat and frame. Also as Kay has just mentioned.....this image could look very nice with the "Showing Off" tutorial.

Sabrina, I think I would want as simple a frame or border as possible. The picture is beautiful, and you don't want to distract from it. Robyn's mat and frame do a nice job. I think this is a case of "less is more."

Hi Kev ...
That looks good and is so efective ... I have a large easel that I sometimes use in images and people always seem to like the effect :)

Wendy,
thanks, I've noticed that some people do like their images displayed in a different way. Others, of course, are traditionalists and only want what they call studio style.

Sabrina,
Great shot! Where does your daughter live to have such a guest?
Kev - that's a very nice way to display it, you've done a great job on that.
FStop - I really like that. Very nice and really emphasizes the eagle.
Robyn - Really nice too! I agree with Linda - less is more.
Kay - I like the sticks used as a frame - very well done.

Nancy,
thanks.
So many ways, the hardest part is picking one to start with.

Wow, great shot.......
I guess the frame is a matter of choice, I like 'em all!!
My biggest obstical is making a decision.......if I could get past that,
I might even be able to post a pic.

WOW!!!! You guys are great. How did you guys create such nice frames? I tried to download Jodi's frames and it didn't let me. I don't know how to install them, if I did get them. I am SO new to all this.
Thanks for the suggestions! I am willing to learn..if you are willing to share!;)

Hi- Diana posted this a while back about getting Jodi's frames, try this (I'm assuming you mean Jodi's frames from the site?)
If you haven’t unzipped it, do a search for frame_styles1.zip.
When you find that file, right click on it and then click Extract all.
When the Extraction Wizard starts, click Next.
This screen is where you tell it where to extract the files to.
Click on Browse, then click on Desktop in the destination list.
Click Make New Folder and give the new folder a name if you wish by typing over the words New Folder, such as PET Frames.
Click OK, which will take you back to the Extraction Wizard screen.
Then click Next and it will tell you the files have been extracted to the folder you chose.
Click Finish and that folder will open.
The folder will show one file in it named PET_Frame_Styles.asl
Leave that folder window open but you can minimize it if it’s in your way.
Now open the Elements folder where you need to put it:
From your Desktop, click on “My Computer”
Click on Local Disk ( C: )
Click on Program Files
Click on Adobe
Click on Photoshop Elements (whatever version yours is)
Click on Presets
Click on Styles
Then make sure both windows are open—the folder window containing PET_Frame_Styles.asl and the one you just opened “Styles.”
Drag PET_Frame_Styles.asl over to the Styles folder.
You will need to restart Elements for the new styles to show up in your Styles and Effects Palette. Just look under Layer Styles and you should see “PET Frame Styles”

I used a Gaussian blur on the background to try and separate the bird from the background and then combined a frame edge with a wood layer style to get this effect.

The shot of the eagle is great. I am not sure if I would do anything to it, personally.
