I LOVE that little turtle. Great shot getting down to his level and "peeking" into his shell. Very cute!

Thanks everyone!

And, Sherrie, we actually DID put the camera on the ground and wait for him to come out of his shell, we have shot after shot of a turtle shell...

Sherrie ...

My friend has a tortoise and I tried to take its photograph ... so I lay on the floor and waited. Everytime I breathed it retreated into its shell. I never did get a good photograph but have lots of shell ones :)

Thanks, I finally got around to trying the montage of many little photographs in Wendy's tutorials. I admired that early on but then when I realized what it entailed, I decided it would be a thing for later! It turned out to be more time consuming than difficult. And it makes a nice effect! Eventually I need to do a collage of carousel shots; it's at the baseball stadium, so she rides it all summer!

Ah too cute...look at those little turtle nostrils...I bet he's wondering if you can see him. I pissed off traffic behind me last summer when i stopped in the lane to move a tiny little painted turtle out of the road...he was sooo cute !

... Nice work on the montage.

That tutorial is a really complicated one but you have done a great job on it ... I bet you were pleased with the effect :)

Thanks, Wendy! (and thanks for yet another tutorial!) I remember seeing this effect in Pauline's gallery when I first joined and thinking it looked really neat and then realizing that it was beyond my PSE skills. The best thing about doing it today was that I COULD!:)
