I just posted my first picture to the gallery. I am very new to digital photography (beyond snapshots) and to PSE. At times it seems overwhelming because so much can be done. Some of the pictures in the gallery inspired me to trying something on one of my recent pictures. I welcome any and all critiques.

I also am new to both PSE and the forum. I did however figure out how to post a few photos to the gallery way before I was able to actually get to the forum. Great job on the picture - maybe I too can someday.

Very nice. Glad to see more nice work. Those action shots are wonderful. What kind of camera? I'm starting to make notes for the future.

I was surprised how quickly I heard from so many people all over the world and everyone had such nice things to write. To answer a couple of questions - my name is Dave and I shot the pictures with a Nikon D50 that I purchased 4 months ago. Like many of the cameras on the market, it takes great pictures. But I am also learning so much more can be done post-camera which is why I have embarked on the learning curve for PSE. It took me quite some time to decide on my workflow and what software to use. I will remain a amateur photographer, but I also wanted solid tools that would support my needs. So far PSE has done the trick but I also have Nikon Capture for the curves capability.

Dave, welcome to the forum. What a great start to your gallery. When I read "I am very new to digital photography (beyond snapshots)" I did not expect to see such amazing photos in your gallery. Keep up the great work and please share more of your "snapshots" :D
