Hey Pauline,
That rose in your gallery is beautiful! Did you make the frame? Beautiful!

Well thank you Nancy and Jo!!

The rose was a gift to my daughter from her boyfriend for Valentine's day. I took a picture of it reflecting in the mirror of her dresser.

The frame is custom made. I was just trying out some steps from my scrappersguide cd, and playing around with different things. It was pretty easy to do, and I decided I liked it to have a simple look since the rose was the main attraction.

Pauline, beautiful gallery !!! Did you hear anything yet about the dog pics you submitted ?

By the way...I know you said you copied the old painted wood tutorial for later use...please be adviced that I had left out a step....Kay brought it to my attention....you may want to re-copy the new version. I can't believe I left out a step...doh !

Thanks Jodi, I wrote it down to add it to the instructions! Hey don't beat yourself up, I have a heck of a time giving instructions unless I have elements opened up in front of me. I tend to leave something out.

Thanks for your comments on my gallery. It does need more updating but I feel like I haven't done much lately!! I seem to spend most of my time working on challenges, or the tutorials in How to Cheat photoshop! Next thing I know, another week has gone by!

I spent 2 hours doing our therapy dog visits today and am just now getting to the forums. No chance to even start 'making' wood! (and looking at the number of unread messages I could be here for a while).

My girls will be off high school tomorrow due to a threat of 30 people bringing AKA's to school and shooting everyone! (I think it's a silly prank since we're in a pretty safe small town, but as my daughter said, "how would you feel if it weren't and I got shot!". Geez.........)

No word on the photo contest. The notification deadline is March 11.
