Saving & Sorting

I have collected several thousand photos and have recently updated to PE4. I am in the process of tagging all photos. I pulled up 114 pictures of one of my grandsons and stated to fix all the red eye problems. I resaved the adjusted photos & when I reverted back to the organizer view I found that the recently resaved photos have all been re-dated to today. Now his first birthday party is mixed with to his first hair cut and his first day at scholl. All this makes Chronologically no sense. Heeeeeeeeelp!

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure why these dates are changing on you but I can tell you how to change them back. Using Control or Shift, click all of the photos which were done on a specific date. Go Edit>Adjust Date and Time. Perform these steps in the Organizer.

I did notice in "preferences," under "files" there is an option which says, "Use Date File was Last Modified if no EXIF Data is Found." Perhaps you might want to try unchecking that box.

I much appreciate your help. I never noticed that choice in the "Preferences". I haven't used it yet but that has to be the problem.
