That worked out very nicely, Val. Good start!:)
You might add a little more interest to it by adding a slight curve to the filmstrip and moving it up on the page a little. To do that, you need to Merge the filmstrip with the pictures contained in it, then rotate it so it's vertical, then use Filter > Distort > Shear to add a little curve. Then rotate it back horizontal and place it where you want it on your background.

Nicely done Val :)
I like the way the photos in the filmstrip stand out from the background.

Nice pic Val...I think I would prefer that the filmstrip be of a darker color, not necessarily black. Maybe a drop shadow would bring it out more, and I agrree with Diana about bending it a little. Good work though!

Diana- I knew that you had to have the filmstrip vertical to bend it, but I can't believe I didn't think of converting it and then making it horizontal again. duh! thanks for the tip.

So THAT'S the trick! I tried shearing it and all that happened is that it made it "italicized" (for lack of a better description). I didn't know it had to be vertical first. I'll give it a try - thanks!

I didn't really want it black, either, but it does need a little something. I'll try a shadow, in addition to the curl, and repost.
Thanks for the feedback/ideas, coaches!!
