Yeah! (I finally figured out how to install plug-ins!) I'm a novice..lol I made it my main image....anyone care to give advice on anything I would be thrilled to hear it! I have been looking for an add on that would allow me to put individual pictures in the bubbles, but I can't seem to find one. I did have fun with this though. Thanks you all keep me so motivated!

Here is what I did. I went to the following web page courtesy of Nancy
http://share.studio.adobe.com/axQuickSearchSubmit.asp?txt=bubble&allprods=0&subm it1.x=13&submit1.y=7
I was already registered so I downloaded the plug in and opened it and put it in my plug-ins file in PSE4.
Then when you want to use the bubble you open it as a separate picture in the editor and move the bubble to the picture you want to use it with and put it in a layer over the part of the picture you want to use it with.
Hope that convoluted explanation helps.:)

I had the same problem with Adobe. You may already have a user name and password from when you registered your software. It took me a while to figure that out. When I finally was able to sign in with my original user name I was able to download the material. I think the reference to the trouble will not get you anywhere, at least it didn't do me any good. I had to ask for a new password and follow the instructions form the resulting e-mail. Let me know if you have more trouble signing in.
That is what this forum is for and I am so grateful for all the help here.:)

Hi Bill,
Me again, okay so I downloaded one of the bubble plug-ins. Ray's Image Bubble V2, don't think I have the right one. Because it won't install on PSE4. Now that I am looking at it, it says PS 6x and above. Exactly which download did you use?? Sorry I am such a pain.
Thanks for all of your help.

Ang--I think that the reason is that it's listed as a Photoshop Action. Many of these things that I used in PSE 3.0 don't work in PSE 4.0. Perhaps there's another answer...

Where is my crying smiley???? Really we need one of those on this site!
Thanks Betty, I did notice it was an ATN. file and I can't find anymore of those in PSE4.

Bill
Bill,
do you mean it's the second listed of Ray's bubbles, the one without the V2.
I've got PSE3. I'm a bit confused about just what file to put it in, plug ins or photoshop actions.??
Edit. I tried both, but it doesn't seem to "be there". What am I doing wrong or is it that this won't work in PSE3?

Ang & Robyn,
If you are talking about the individual bubble I pointed Bill to at Adobe Exchange it will work. BUT - you do not put it in any folder. You simply download the file and open it in PSE. It is a finished picture file and when you open it you will see a sunflower picture with a bubble on top of it. Now look at the layer palette and you will see a folder named Bubble. This folder is the layered bubble and it cannot be edited or it will ruin the bubble - per the author's instructions.
Now open the picture you want to put the bubble on. Make sure you also have the bubble picture open on your workspace. Click on the clear bubble with your move tool active and drag it on to the new picture. Now resize it to fit. That's all there is to it! You HAVE to drag from the original bubble picture to the new picture. It WILL NOT work the other way around. I don't know the reasoning but it obviously has something to do with it being written for photoshop.

Robyn,
Not sure if you should listen to me or not! lol But here is what I did after Bill told me it was the "second one". I went to the link that he gave me... http://share.studio.adobe.com/axQuickSearchSubmit.asp?txt=bubble&allprods=0&subm%20it1.x=13&submit1.y=7
And went to the second download on that page " Spazmos Ultimate Bubbles " I saved it to my desk top.**by the way I have PSE4** then with PSE4 opened I went to Edit>Preset Manager>Brushes>Load ** then I found the brushes on my desk top clicked on them, and now they are in my brush section.
I hope these directions weren't to meat headed! They only sound that way because they're coming from me! lol And I have only had a few minutes to play with them. But I sure like them! Way cool!
THANKS BILL :)

Nancy, Do you get the individual bubble from the "spazmos ultimate bubbles" download?? LOL I am sorry, but man am I confused or what?? I do have those brushes in my palette now! But I'm just not sure which one does the individual bubbles??
LOL **See Robyn you'll know not to listen to me again** sorry :o

No - it's the one Bill told you to download - transparent bubble. I think it is the second file listed there. I haven't tried the Spazmo's bubbles yet but was looking at them. I don't know if they will have the same effect or not. I'll check them out.

Robyn and Ang - sorry - I didn't go back and look at my notes before I answered - just went with what is in the thread. The correct bubble file is TRANSPARENT BUBBLE. Yesterday it was the second one down but today I think it's about 4th. It has a bubble over a red/white paper. The Ray's bubbles probably won't work since they are actions. Sorry about that. I can't post a link directly to it because you have to sign in and I don't think it will go to the right spot. I'll give it a try.
Edit - no it didn't work. Do this: type transparent bubble in the search engine and it's the first one there.

Thank you Nancy,
I'm afraid I got confusing messages from this thread.....all sorted out now. The butterfly is just beautiful. I've downloaded the bubble but haven't played with it yet.
The only thing I am confused with is signing in on the Adobe site. I never signed......just went straight in and downloaded. I did sign up yonks ago....do you automatically get recognised.
PS Love your dog in your latest pic. Is it a springer spaniel?

Robyn,
Sorry it got confusing. I suspect you clicked remember me when you signed in. I did not have to sign in here at home but did at work today when I was looking for something else. I had never used it at work before.
Thanks for the comment on Auggie and Rich. Yes he is a springer spaniel. He is 4 years old and a terror. He suffers from "springer rage" and can sometimes get a little mean. He is a beauty though and I love him to death.

Nancy,
I have had Irish Setters for about 34 years now, but I grew up with English Cocker Spaniels and Springer Spaniels. Springers are a beautiful breed with an equally beautiful temperament so I'm surprised you say he can get a little mean at times.

He is the most lovable, sweet dog until he thinks you are taking something away from him. He has claimed the area under the couch as his den. If you attempt to pick something up he has drug under there- you will lose a finger or two. You always have to check and see if he is there first. We also have a westie and Rudy is the dominant male since he is older. Auggie does not handle that well. He can't dominate Rudy so he attempts to dominate us. He has been to training and it helps but he has bitten both my daughters - but they were taking something from him even though the vet and trainer both told them not to do it. He has been on thin ice more than once as to whether he stays or goes.

Ah Nancy,
Dogs......we can't live without them, but they can cause trouble. I only have Oliver left now, but prior to that, we always had 2 dogs and at one time we had 3 (that was a bit many, they are quite a large breed).
All those years and I never had trouble between any of them (all males) until I got William (died last July) and Oliver. They had a fight when Oliver was about 18 months old and it was never the same between them again. Basically we had to keep them separate for nearly seven and a half years.....which was not easy as my dogs are house dogs. I very nearly lost a finger when I tried to separate them once....had lots of stitches. Everyone said why don't you have one put down.......but I couldn't do that, I loved them both dearly.

Robyn, isn't it strange how we tend to look over the "bad" things our dogs do? If one of our children bit us they would be in all kinds of hot water for a long time. My little foundling suffers from sudden rage syndrome. She is the sweetest little thing most of the time but look out if my older female gets too close while she is chewing a bone. Other than Sadie's bad times they all get along, the problem is you never know when she is gonna get upset! But we love her anyway.

Sherrie,
It is a shame but with Auggie, whenever anyone with small children comes around he has to be locked in the kitchen because we can't trust him. He is a wonderful dog and couldn't be more loveable but it only takes once for a tragedy. That's why we don't take a chance with him - We are building an enclosure outside where he can go in good weather when company comes because he LOVES to be outside anyway. It will be less stressful for him than being in the house and locked up where he can see people but can't go to them. 90% of the time there would be nothing to worry about but a child will inevitably see a toy and try to pick it up and I don't want to think what could happen.

Nancy, I completely understand. My Sadie is a sweetie but I don't know how she would react around children. She is trying to be the alpha female in the house right now. Punkin sets her straight but I have had to intervene. A water bottle works wonders! Now all I have to do is pick it up and they go to their separate corners:)

Garry,
Just download it anywhere - but not into any of your Adobe files as it is not an action or brush or anything. It is just a finished file that you can use to drag the bubble from it to your new file you are working on. It is actually a .PSD file.

Hi,
Put it in a folder of your choice, I have one on my desktop that is labeled my pics and I put it in there. I tried it out last night, and I opened it up with no problem and used it on one of my pics. When you open it up there will be two layers...just click on the layer named bubble, put it on your picture and re-size.
I tried to install Ray's Image Bubble and could not get it to work with PSE4.
