Shnupita,
It's late here and I am about to sign-off. If nobody helps you tonight, I'll see what I can do tomorrow morning.

Sorry, I will have a look at it in a few moments. I had a psychological test to do tonight (for a new job I'm seeking).

Shnupita,
Rebo the exercise, I think you missed a step there. But first, have a look at my image and try to this at home, before returning to the exercise :
http://homepage.mac.com/carbmac/captures/Photoshop-Elements036.jpg
Open an image. Double click on the background layer to unlock it (simply click on Ok on the dialog box). Then, create a new layer, under the image, and fill it with black.
Click on the IMAGE layer, click on Layer / Group with previous.
Maker the BLACK layer active.
Select the eraser and start to erase the BLACK layer. As you erase the black, the image will become invisible in the same area.
If you erase with a brush at a lower opacity, the picture will be semi visible (the intensity of the bruch will decide the opacity of the picture)

I'm sending you support Ray in seeking your new job. You go out of your way to help others and that is a huge plus. Good luck.

Thanks !
Norm... I'm not sure what to make of your comment.. Perhaps you've joined the Nikon camp.. ? ;)
Seriously, it's a two part test :
- 40 questions, logic test with 15 minutes to complete (got 35 questions, but I don't know how many goods)
- 97 questions with very disctinctive answers, like would you lie to cover your mistake, yes, no, sometimes. Problem is, sometimes is an answer you can use only 11 times. I managed to use only 7 sometimes.
Part one is a fail or pass test. If you're too dumb (which I start to believe I may be), you don't get the job.
Part two is a "did we pick the right guy for the right job?" test. If you fail, you may get the job, but you'll have to explain yourself. If you get it, you another interview, with HR this time.
However, it's all worth it. I'll be working with cool stuff and back in Downtown (the spending paradise!... "Wallet, shut up!")
:)

Ray,
No. I was just thinking that a "psychological test" would be a little unnerving. You know, it's not like failing calculus. I've never had to take one of these but it conjured a strange image for me. "Sorry Norm, but your just not right. For the job I mean, just not right for the job."
Good luck. Hope you get the job. Does it allow any forum play time?

I don't think it will, not during the first few weeks at least. Perhaps over lunch.

If I do it your way.. it comes out... but the way in the video it doesnt....
If so.. then why do I need the black square behind??? If I have a transpaent background and I use the eraser in the picture.. it still brings me out the border shape... why do i need the black box??
Thanx
