View Full Version : Is there a way..

to go straight from looking at someone's gallery to send them a compliment? When I go into the galleries to look I cannot believe the beauty and talent of so many of the photos. I would like to tell the artist how I feel but other than going to the members list and doing an e-mail - is there a quicker way. That is why I like it when people post to the forums.
This is a new hobby for me in 2005. In 2004 I survived breast cancer and unexpectedly lost my Mom two days after my surgery. It was a bad year. My Mom left us all a small bequest and because she always loved taking polaroids at all the family functions and making albums - I decided to use it and buy this camera and get Elements. I talk to my Mom when I take my photos and ask her if she likes them? Sorry, I went on a bit there - but I just felt like sharing because I love this hobby and forum so much.

Hi Shari
I can't find a way.. I just tried a few things. but came up empty. Anybody else??
What a wonderful way to remember your mom. I'm sure she is happy, sitting right beside you, watching the beautiful things you are doing.

No, I haven't found a way to do this either. Is there even a link back to the member's profile?
And, Shari, that's great that you've found a way to honor your mom. What a tough 2005. I hope 2006 brings you good things.

Thanks Shari
Mine is nothing spectacular. I think most of those are my first gallery posts, I haven't updated much:rolleyes:. When they first opened them everybody was on the bandwagon. :D I tend to post stuff in the forums and forget about my gallery. I should redo it.. awwww maybe next month. :D

Shari - congrats to you! I am a 5 1/2 year survivor and that's kind of where my signature came from. I love photography and decided that each picture and each moment is special after having come through that. I was diagnosed in April 2000, the same year both my father and grandfather had strokes in February and March respectively. Those were 3 horrible months and it seemed to get worse every day. Then I took up my photography again and things have been wonderful ever since. Hang in there - it gets better every day! You chose a wonderful way to honor your mother! :)

Thsoe are such nice thoughts. My wife is a 5 year survivor and was the cancer care coordinator in Ellensburg before we moved back to the west side.
I love your pictures Shari and I know you mum does too.

Hi Shari ...
I am sure that your Mom would approve of how you used her bequest ... and I think that it makes a great tribute to her :)
There really isn't a way to go straight from their Gallery but the way I like the best is to take a note of the URL of their gallery and then post a link to it in a message. You are then able to say what you like about the gallery and giving the link lets others view it and add their comments too :)
