I produced a slide show yesterday with PSE4, quite a long one because it was skiing photos from a recent holiday. I wanted to add music, which I did, but it seems as if it will only allow you to add one music track. If the slide show is about 3 minutes great, but for something longer it isnt much use.

It also stated that the music track would loop, but there were long spaces of silence between the music.

Firstly, does any one know if or how extra music tracks can be added, for variation?

Secondly, if you cant then how do you avoid the silent areas of audio on the music loop?

Looking forward to any help.

Must say I am now begining to make small steps of progress with this facility.

Thanks,

Soren.

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

If you click on Add Media, at the top, you'll be able to add more tracks.

Hope this helps,

Ray

You can also add more audio if you click on the bottom bar next to where you see the title of your audio.
If you look at this thread, Browndog actually did a screenshot that shows this:

Some people have had trouble loading music because it's protected, hopefully that isn't what's happening.

Thanks for the contributions. I think I had actually tried double clicking the music bar at the bottom but nothing happened. It obviously can be done so I will persist some more. Others have obviously had the same problems.

I was reading your post about building a slide show with elements and adding more audio files. I have been using elements for some time now but haven't found the slide show function to work as well as I wanted. I wanted to let you know there is a great program called Proshow Gold by www.photodex.com . This program will give you a professional looking finished show. The newest update they did now allows you to trim video clips as well as audio tracks. fade in, fade out, etc. It also has very easy rendering for the finished product to CD, email, DVD etc. I think they have a free trial download on their site. Oh yeah, they also allow you to upload your slide shows and store them on their site so you can invite people to see them. Also, they have a monthly theme contest for shows.

Just to let you know - you can't e-mail ProShow slide shows. At least if you have any luck I would like to hear about it.

Shari: I am using the newest version Proshow Gold 2.6. While I haven't actually tried it, it does allow you to send shows via email. What version of proshow are you using?

Steve - I am using the latest version. I have had many discussions with the support - but unless you want to send a few photos with no captions it seems they are too big. I can send straight photos from my organizer. If you can e-mail a show I would appreciate knowing. You can see my first attempts at www.Photodex.com/sharing and type in member name shar
You can e-mail me if you want because I don't know if this is the forum to discuss ProShow on.

Steve,
thanks for your heads up about pro-show I will give it a look.

However I have been following some of th eadvice about the slide show in PSE4 and am still having no joy.

Does anyone know if the problem could be if some of the music is protected. I am trying to use music that I have burnt from CD`s onto itunes. Should I maybe try using Windows Media Player instead?

Oh and one other thing, why does it seem to jumble up the order of the pictures I used in the organiser?
