Is it not possible to open a photo directly from the Organizer photo bin? I am now having to first look in Properties in Organizer to find the photo's location (directory/filename), then switch to Editor, go to File/open and search for and open the photo I want to edit.

Thanks, Norm:)

Click on the photo in the Organizer to select it and then either click on control-I or go to the edit menu on the tool bar and select Standard Edit. That will bring up the photo in the editor.

Hi Norm,

Welcome to the forum. A third option in addition to Bill's suggestions is to left click the thumbnail and select "Open in Standard Edit" or "Go to Quick Fix."

Thanks to Bill, Wendy, and Norm for the prompt replies.

Your suggestions are the way I thought I remembered it worked when I first loaded Elements3; however, it won't do that now - I must have clicked something somewhere that disabled that method:confused: . Now, when I try any of these methods Editor starts in the requested mode, but without any photo opened.

Bill,

We share many common interests; I too am an amateur radio operator (K7NDC) and a pilot, long retired.

Pass me a private note on your activities and who you flew for. We may have some mutual friends. (Original call K7ETP).

Hi Norm and Bill
Not a pilot (only with Flight Sim 2002) but G3UCQ as my hobby other than photography, golf, walking etc. Nice to see you on the forum and perhaps on the HF bands?

Norm,

Two things to try when things that used to work don't work any more are:

File>Catalog>Recover

and

Reset the Preferences: hold down Shift/Control/Alt while opening the program and accept the dialog.
