Hi! I'm new to Photoshop Elements and have just installed the program on my laptop.

Everytime I plug in my flash drive, Organizer opens up even if I don't want to work with pictures! Perhaps I need to work in Word, Excel, etc.

How do I stop Organizer from opening automatically?

From your Organizer go to Edit > Preferences > Camera or Card Reader and unclick the box "Use Adobe Photo Downloader to get photos from Camera or Card Reader"

See if that solves the problem.

Thanks, Kay. I will give it a try this evening. I took a moment to visit your gallery and love your creativity.

Do you have any instructions on how to do the film strip? I think I can figure out how to do the photo collages. What did you use to make the frame that goes all the way around? If you have directions for the above and are willing to share, I can be reached at pegkral@yahoo.com

Thanks again for your help.

Hope it solves the problem! Thanks for the compliment; I've learned a lot from other users here and from the subscriber tutorials. That's where the filmstrip came from- it's a tutorial in the subscriber area. The filmstrip was actually a download there as well, although you CAN manually create one, it just takes longer! Not sure which one you mean about the frame that goes all the way around?

If you haven't already, I recommend checking out Wendy's tutorials: http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3641
She's put together some really helpful lessons.

As for subscribing, when I first joined the forum, I wasn't sure about how much I would benefit from subscribing, but I'm so glad I took the plunge! There are 90+ video tutorials on the site, and it's fun to do them along with other subscribers and get inspiration from others.

Let me know how it goes!
