You're welcome, Ray. I was Googling around trying to find some lace brushes for the photo template I'm making with a heart theme and I came across those.

Hi Nancy,
I didn't find any *free* lace brushes, but I did find some lace patterns--but they are gray, not really what I want.

Aloha
I have a few question, I am very new to photo shop and when I think of brushes they are the ones that paint. I see that when i open the file they are a bunch of unique icons?? can someone explain me how why they are called brushes and how are they used. Thanks

hmmmmmm the best and easiest way I can think to describe what a brush does is through scrapbooking terminology and esentially what they do stamp an image on to your project. OR you can use them as an eraser and stamp a negative image onto your project. Does that make sense? If you were to choose one of the flower brushes it will put a flower "stamp" on your image. If you were to choose the eraser and a grunge type brush you could make a nice border effect by erasing the edge but with a texture. HTH!

Nancy,
I just saw these when I was looking for something else. They aren't free, but they look like they may well be worth the price. I may just buy them.

I went to the link posted by Diana and love the Celtic brushes. How do you know if they will work in PSE3? And how best to download them?
Thanks in advance for the basics! (I have never downloaded brushes before.)

When you download the brush set it will be compressed (zipped) if you are on Windows then you can unzip them, this will give you files with the extension ABR -- it is these ABR files that you will want to copy to the following location:
C:/programs/adobe/photoshop elements 3.0/presets/brushes --
Do this will elements shut down. Then launch (load) elements and select a brush tool then go shopping for your new brushes. Select one and try it out.
