Does anybody know of any filter plug-ins that would simulate a polarizer?
I found on old film neg and had it scanned and it's just screaming for a polarizer effect.
Thanks

Barry,
Mike is going to post a tutorial on this effect in the next thread down. Check there - it should be up by this evening.

Hi Barry
I am not a photographer so I may be thinking of the wrong procedure. But if you need this effect in a particular area have you tried this;
Say the sky is washed out as an example. Pick a soft brush, a large one...larger the better. Set foreground color to black. Set the blendmode of the brush to Color Burn. Reduce opacity to 7-10%.
Then just click, rather then click and move, in an area until you get the contrast you are after.
It is not a filter but I like using it because of the control
