Help please

Somehow I have lost all the photos in my Organizer. I notice at the top it now says Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 My Catalog. I don't remember it saying My Catalog before. Did I do something I should not have? I am using a PC if that helps.

Have you tried searching for the photos, either by a known filename or *.jpg to see if the files have actually been erased from the disk? (If you have not used the Search function, you can click Start>Search and type *.jpg in the all or part of filename box).

It may be the photos were accidentally erased from the catalog. If they still exist on the hard drive, we can work on rebuilding the catalog.

You can also open Organizer and click File>Catalog>Open and see if a catalog name you recoginze exists. If yes, then click that catalog to open it to see if your photos are there.

A great big thank you to you. I opened the catalog and there they were. I don't know what happened but I'm glad they are back. I do have backups of them but I just couldn't figure out what happened or where they went.
As usual, the help in this forum is exceptional and is greatly appreciated by us newbies.
