I got Vol-3 No. 1 today and tried out the step by step ...Make your own borders exercise and hit a snag. I got PSE 4 and got to step three of this exercise and it says "( in PSE 4, you have to Control-/Command -click on the layer thumbnail to load the selection)." I feel so stupid but what does Command click mean? I tried all sorts of things & nothin worked.
Thanx in advance,
Eddie

You may often see instructions for both Mac (Hold down Command key and click) or PC (Hold down Control and click) users. The click is the left mouse key. So depending upon which platform you use, these commands will load the selection. Hope this helps.

Don't feel stupid, you didn't know. :)
The only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked.
You see those shortcuts a lot and depending on who says them the mac key comes first, or the pc key comes first. So command/control is mac/pc keys or control/command is pc/mac keys. The click comes from the fact that the mac only has one mouse button and left click is assumed for pc.
Once you get used to it your eyes don't see, or your ears don't hear the one that doesn't apply. :D Or I am starting to think its all one word and I just hit the right key.
