Good Afternoon everyone,

I have added a couple of more pictures of what I have done recently.
Each day am learning something new.
Thanks to all who have helped out when I was trying to figure something new out.

Rachel, just had a look at your gallery and I like the day lily image - it is amazing. Please forgive me if it is not a day lily.

Thanks evgeryone. Karen that is a hydbird lily that I have in my garden. The picture of the Beatles my son had painted on our basement wall. He didn't put it on paper or anything. Just painted away and he did it all free hand. That is why I have his name on the photo. So one day he asked if I could take a picture of it for him. The one day I decided to see what I could do with it. The orginal picture had a yellow case to it around the Beatles and I wanted their faces to be more of the focus. Would like some comments on it if I could do some improvements on it. Thanks.

Hi Rachel,

I'm sure others will have other (and better!) ideas, but you could consider a 60s theme- maybe select them and then change the background and do a gradient with funky colors (green and orange?) and then text- THE BEATLES written on the top? You might also do it portrait style instead of landscape and then enlarge the selections. Just ideas, it's a neat drawing done by your son!

Hi,

Just joined the group myself. And I tell you when I painted that beatles picture back when I was in high school I never thought that I might want to take it with me one day. I tell you don't use concreate as a canvas for painting.

hehe, thank goodness for PSE, now you CAN take it with you!
I think it looks really good with the background you've done!

Wow - I was confused there for a second! Welcome aboard Corbin. Hey isn't this the first mother / son combo we've had here? Nice work Corbin. The gradient does set off the drawing nicely. But I agree, concrete is not the most portable medium.:D

Nancy- We also have CarolHB and her son! He asked about painting candy heart brushes the other day. And Pauline's son played the baby photo challenge game. :)

Oh - I didn't know Carol's son was on here. Cool. I did know about Paulines son but didn't think he became a member - just played the game. Cool - I know my daughter has 4 on order and is thinking about joining when she gets it.

Kay my son also did a couple of Grant's challenges in the beginning. He's not a member. He just turned 13 and is more interested in xbox!! I got him to do a couple of challenges in the hopes of getting him back into art. He is a fantastic artist but doesn't spend as much time drawing as he used to.
