Gallery photos

I'm new to PE Techniques(a few months) and want to know how to include photos in gallery, contests, etc. Do I need to resize before submitting? Any other info will be appreciated.

Hi Sam ...

The Gallery here has a max pixel size of 700 pixels and Grant's Challenge 800 pixels and must be below 100K.

You can resize using Save for Web:

Open your image then do File>Save for Web
When the Save for Web dialogue box come up there is a section over on the bottom right hand side where you can change the pixels size (see A) if you tick Constrain Proportions then you only need to change the longest side. Next take a look at the new size (B) ... if it is still too big then use the quality slider (C) until the size is OK

Flytyer, go to Galleries, Then click on "Create my gallery" ,.....Type in your user name(flytyer).....Type in a new password ...( I assume you are a subscriber PSE Techniques) Then choose a photo to include in the gallery. If the photo is on your hard drive, click browse and find it. On this page is the file size constraints ie (700X700,Resolution of 72, JPEG format & Max size of 300K). If the photo is not the right you must resize it to what they require. Once every thing is AOK hit Submit. Hope this helps.
