Elements is Taking Over

:eek: I am running Microsoft XP and when I check my email if someone sent a photo I click on it to view and Elements 3.0 automatically opens on its own to show the photo. Can I stop this from happening? I don't want Elements to automatically open every photo I am emailed! Yikes!

Oh yes Elements does take over ... and not only your images :) ...

To solve open with:

One way you can do this is to right click on any picture on your hard drive and select "Open With". Then select the Choose Program option from the menu. Select the program you want to open the picture from the list and also check the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" box.

You have to do this for file types (e.g. jpegs, psds etc).

Do let us know if this works OK (I'm a Mac users so I'm always a bit concerned in case it doesn't work)

The only way so far I've found is... an electrical outage... :D

But wait.. with a candle... I can read a few pages of an Elements book...
