Hello All,
Could you please tell me if there is a way to remove dust particles (orbs) from a picture with PSE4?? I have been trying to figure out a way to do it, and figured it would be smarter to ask here. I usually don't have this problem, but I have a nice photo and would like to be able to use it! Thanks for all your help, as always.

Ang :)

Hi Ang ...

It tends to depend how bad they are ... sometimes you can use the noise reduction to remove them but other times its back to the clone tool :)

Hello Ang

Another way is to duplicate your background layer

On your new layer apply .. Filter>Dust and Scratches

Pull the sliders all the way to the left then drag the top one slowly to the right. Watch your dust specs until they are gone. Do not worry how blurry the picture gets.

Now create a blank layer Below your duplicate layer.
Click back on the duplicate layer and press ctrl +G to group them. Your blur will go away.

Now click back on the blank layer, set your foreground color to black, pick a soft brush, set the blendmode of the brush to “Lighten”. Just paint over your specks and they will be gone.... maybe
