Here are some pictures taken from and of Pikes Peak in Colorado. After looking at it I think maybe putting the frames around each photo makes it look a bit too busy. Maybe I should have used a stroke instead. What do all of you think? Any and all critizims (sp) are appreciated.

Those are beautiful pictures, Gary. :) I think your idea about using a stroke would improve them a lot and allow the drop shadows to give some depth to the montage without fading into the outside frame. The duplication of the frames overwhelms the pictures as well as the background. You might also consider desaturating the background a bit to permit the foreground pictures to stand out more.

Finally if there was a way to make a the aspect ratio of a couple of the pictures vertical instead of horizontal (by cropping?) you could place them a bit more asymetrically. That would be my own preference but it is entirely subjective, of course.

Thanks for sharing those with us.

Hi Garry ...

Oh those are really nice photos and with a little tweaking it will make a great montage ...

I'm with Bill on this one ... I think that the frames are making it too busy and are detracting from the photos themselves. Try reducing the frame size or just use a simple stroke and see how that looks ... with things like this experimenting is usually the best way ....

The colours in the images are just so stunning ... :)

Gary,
Try reducing the size of the frames.
If you select a layer with the frame, go to Layers - Layer Style - Scale Effects and drop the % down.
It will take a few tries but once you are happy you can apply the same % to each frame.
