Love the photo, but can you be a little more specific? I consider myself layer-challenged, so what exactly did you learn about layers that makes this such an effective shot?

Thank you.I am very new to layers as well I made a layer 1 and a copy of it to lighten my pic because it was underexposed somewhat.

Hi there ...

Did you use the method ...

Duplicate the layer then set the duplicate layer blending mode to screen ? ...

Yes thanks for responding .The pic was taken late in afternoon deliberately underxposed,so I later used layer copies and sceen.I thought it worked out well for me I am new to digital an pse3.

I like your photo. I have also been experimenting and learning the magic of layers. Once you grasp the concept it's one of the most powerful tools in Elements.
