Hello all... I usually like to take pictures in the great outdoors but due to the cold and snow thought I would take the opportunity to practice indoors with natural light. Here are a few of my daughter who by the way will not look at the camera. Thats ok as some of the best shots are those that don't looked posed.
For those in the New Years baby contest you will not be able to look at my daughter and check my baby pic to see if their is any resemblance. She looks just like her dad. Now if I posted pics of my son it would be a dead giveaway. GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shane, she's very photogenic! You couldn't have done as well if she had posed for you. Very nice!

Shane those are beautiful and you're right they are better than the staged ones. (I have way to many of those 'look at the camera and smile' shots!! My favourite is the one of her peeling the crayon. You can see the concentration on her face. They are gorgeous and so is she. :D

Thanks guys for taking a look. She is my little angel with horns!!! The horns usually stick out late in the afternoon. I will try to get a pic of them so that you can see I am not kidding.

Shane, don't want to scare you but those horns are just buds. The horns don't come out until they are about 13/14/15! (speaking from experience here!!) I won't scare you any further. :D

Shane - she is gorgeous and you captured everything so well.:) Did you do anything special with your settings? Any flash? Enquiring minds want to know;)
btw picking the frame colors from her sweater (which is gorgeous) was a great idea.:)

Good morning Mary and thanks for the comment. Here is what I did for these shots.
Big window to her left. No flash. I really don't like to use flash if all possible. I just don't like what it does to the photo and I only have the flash on the camera to work with. If I don't have enough light I will up my ISO. Here is the information on these pics. I like to crop close as you can tell after the fact. I use to crop real close in the camera but I am learning I need to leave some room for sizing. Have a great weekend!! If you need more information just let me know.
Aperture 2.8 to 5.6
Shutter Speed 125 - 250
ISO 200

Norm... I really appreciate that. I think I am going to print these for her room. The colors will work perfectly.

Hey Shane,
These are nice shots. And, the best photos are often the ones where they're not focused on smiling (and they give you that cheesy smile!)

Hi Shane ...
What delightful photgraphs ... they look far better than posed ones. I too love the expression on her face when she is trying to unwrap the crayon :)

Shane,
She is just a little doll. You have some great images there! There is really no better shots than the ones that are natural and unstaged.
