I received that superb slideshow in my e-mail this morning and the images are so nice I felt I had to share. If you have an eye for nature and wildlife during winter, have a look!

I uploaded the Powerpoint version here:
http://homepage.mac.com/carbmac/FileSharing8.html

It's the last item, at the bottom left. If you don't see it, refresh your page.

For anyone who doesn't have Powerpoint, I made a quick conversion to a web page (from Powerpoint 2004). It's the first time I used this feature, I tested it with FireFox and Safari, both worked fine.

Thanks Ray - that is a wonderful presentation. Does this mean you are liking Winter more?;)

Ehhh... NO :D

But, after having survived 55mm of rain (and the last few mm turning into ice), I think I much prefer snow at this time of the year.

55mm = a little over 2 inches.

I wish I knew who he/she/they are, so I could give credit. Unfortunately, I don't.

But those pictures aren't mine. That's for sure.. (I so love cold... hehe!)

wow, those are really awesome ! I love the fact that some of the photographers accepted the fact that the blue sky reflects on snow which makes the snow appear blue...they didn't try to whiten it up !

Thanks Ray. Very "Cool." I like the one of the polar bear looking for lunch...in an igloo.

I take a lot of winter pictures. I think the snow is beautiful. OF course we're back to more bloody rain. Sand, puddles, and ice everywhere! I hate this. Walked the dog this morning and had to make him go in the bathtub to hose him off. It's warm enough for a walk, but the mess makes me not want to take him.

Pauline, it was an unbeievable 62 degrees here today with bright sunshine-it's been very warm most of this month-I think we're going to have a hard time when winter returns!

Same thing here... +10C (or +247F I think). Very hot. For that time of the year. Winter isn't like it used to be, and the forecast don't call for anymore winter. -2C for the 5 next days.
