Thanks so much everyone!! I am just happy that it's -7 Celcius today rather than -20!!! So we'll start off with walking the dog after breakfast and then yes, I will be playing with elements all day. I have a creation I want to try that didn't get done yesterday.

Jodi, for the kitty's gray fur, did you draw that or clone in some real fur? Or is that a trade secret? It reminds me of soft bunny fur.

Diana, I used Eye Candy 4000 >fur filter to get the fur texture. Tho, lots and lots of manual tweaking afterwards is involved in the process to give it shape and make it look like something real. It's a handy little filter for getting started.

Thanks all. Gary milking it doesn't work with teenagers, and due to the freezing rain my husband didn't come home. (is he sleeping on your couch Gary? :D )

My kids said, "mom what's for dinner". I said "It's my birthday what are you making?" Only my son was willing and in the end gave up and watched tv! I found something frozen and threw it in the oven. They wanted pizza ordered.

My daughter's boyfriend did bring me a pack of sweet tarts and they rented a movie and brought it back here to watch instead of going to his place. I guess that was my present. Movie night with the kids. :D

All kidding aside, except for the freezing rain, which I could have done without, I have had a good day.

The freezing rain is just over our heads, in Montreal.

It's truly ugly.

For a couple hours we had a beautiful bumpy frosted window!! It's warmed up now and just rain thank goodness. When my daughter's boyfriend tried to park in our driveway which just has a slight incline. He put the breaks on and the car slid down to the bottom of the driveway. He parked on the road after that!! The last freezing rain we had my husband stayed at a friends and found his truck on the road in the morning! It just slid down the driveway. This has been a strange winter. :( I hope you don't get too much Ray!! That big ice storm a few years back was too incredible.

What is freaking me is that the temps won't go down and stay there... They're constantly crossing the freezing point, every 3 days now. Forecast for the next few days : +8/0/+1/-1/-3

It should be -8 to -12 at this time of the year. It really looks like 1998... grrr...

Fortunately, the laptop is always fully charged. If I ever have a PSE addiction crisis, I'll have a few moments of comfort, even if the electricity is gone.. :)
