Valentines Day

I hate to say it but that day that all men dread is aproaching like a runaway train. As a new user I was wondering if anybody has done any type of valentines day card before

Hi there ...

I made a few cards last year ... I created them from scratch but there are simpler ways to do them.

At the simplest level you can just create a blank file, give it a background colour, add some clip art and some text.

What sort of think are you looking to do ??

That's funny, that it's a dreaded holiday- if you MAKE a card, it'll earn you big points!

I haven't tried it, but I was thinking of doing one using the holiday card tutorial, just with reds/pinks/whites. There are hearts for the shape instead of the snowflake, or you could put XOXOXO somewhere, or maybe take a picture of some lace and somehow incorporate that to give it more romantic look.

Oops... rest assured, not in peace... !!!!

Vacations : it's settled, I'm going on vacation on Friday. For 6 days (instead of five !!) At least, I got commended for the work I did so far. Management is recognizing what I did, so not all is lost.

Yes... to the gym :) I was scheduling to join a club earlier this week, it's only postponed one week.

And I'll perhaps do a little photo shooting, if weather permits. I also have some cooking to do.

Glad to hear you'll get Friday off, Ray. Heaven forbid if it should SNOW! Well--you could get some nice snow photos, couldn't you?

It's in the high 40's (4's C, I guess) and rainy in mid-Michigan right now. All our snow is gone.:( My new car is a splattered mess.

Marg, the Valentine card idea is a great one. Eva, you've got a good start on one. Let's all make one and post them.

It's 0C (32F) actually, and the temps are too high for snow. We're expecting rain on Friday (this I don't care as I have a lot of sleeping time to catch !!)

I'm also getting the week off, next week (forgot to mention that). Woohoo!

Diana ... Really like the way you have matched the colours and nice little touch using smaller versions of the flower to scatter across the card.
