I have PSE 3 and installed the PET tools but have not used the PET tools.
I have not installed Grant's Tools and I am wondering if I should have both sets of tools. Is there a comparison chart between PET and Grant's Tools? For a beginner is one easier to use than the other?

Hi Teri ...
PET Extras and Grant's tools and not strictly speaking tools at all ... they are just ways of accessing tools that are buried deep within Elements (leftovers from the full version of Photoshop).
So it really doesn't matter which set you use ... Grant's set has more options so I tend to use that one but I do have both installed.
Channel Mixer ... both
Colour Balance .... both
Curves ... both
Layer Mask ... both
Selective Colour ... both
Channels ... Grant only
Guides ... Grant only
Quick Mask ... Grant only
Transform Selection ... Grant only
Grant also has a second set which are Alignment tools ...
Grant's work in PSE2, PSE3 and some work in PSE4 ... PET ones work in PSE3 (not sure if hey work in PSE4 or not)
Hope this helps
