I'm fairly new here, but LOVE the videos & tutorials. Last week I did my first version of the 3-D Polaroid Effect (in version 2) - and it worked great. Over the weekend I upgraded to PSE4. Now I'm trying the same effect, and I can't seem to get my layers to "link". Here's what my steps have been: using magic lasso, defined the right edge of what I want to "pop" out; then "layer", "layer via copy". Then I made the original background a "regular layer". The tutorial says here is where I need to link the 2 images - but my link icon is grayed out. What have I done wrong?
Thanks.

Hi Judy
In the intro to 4 on the home page of this site there is a new way to do the linking of layers. You select the layers and hold down shift or ctrl to link them. The intro video is very good and worth looking at as an orientation to your new version I think. :)

Hello Judy
Just to be sure, do you have both the layers you want to link highlighted. The link is presented a little differently in PE3 and 4.
Be sure the first layer is highlighted in blue, Then while holding the Crtl key (windows anyway) click on the rest of the layers you want to link. Then the link icon will not be grayed and you can click to link. There are others ways to link as well.
