I just got photoshop elements 4 for Christmas and for the most part I have figured everything out with the tutorials and playing around. Yet, for the life of mme, I can't figure out how to photomerge or stitch photos and panaromas together.
In my manuals it says see HELP, but everytime I type something in help and push go nothing happens.
I did look at this sight but the only instructions I can find are for PS3 and I don't have an automate on PS4..or at least I don't think I do.
Any help on how I can do this or direct me to where I can find this information would be much appreciated!
Thank you so much in advace for any help!

Here are the basic instructions right out of the Help Section. To get to it, I opened Help (F1) and went to Index tab, then selected Photomerge, then the subcategory 'creating':
To create a Photomerge Panorama composition
Do one of the following:
In the Editor, choose File > New > Photomerge Panorama.
In the Organizer, choose File > New > Photomerge Panorama.
If you opened the files from the Editor, click Browse to navigate to the source files or folder you want to use to create the Photomerge Panorama composition. When you’ve added all the source files, click OK to create the Photomerge Panorama composition. The source files open automatically and are processed.
If the composition can’t be automatically assembled, a message appears on-screen. You can assemble the composition manually in the Photomerge dialog box by dragging photos from the lightbox into the work area, and assembling them there manually.
After the new panorama image appears in the Photomerge dialog box, you can work with individual source files and change your view of the work area. If you need to rearrange the order of the images, drag an image in the work area to reposition it, or rearrange the images in the light box. (Deselect Snap To Image if necessary to arrange the images where you want.)
If necessary, adjust the vanishing point or blending settings of your composition.Click OK to generate the panorama as a new file.

Hi.. welcome to the forums...:)
Let us know how you get on with the instructions that Chuck posted.
Now, on accessing Help...
In my manuals it says see HELP, but everytime I type something in help and push go nothing happens.
Where are you typing..? In the "How To" window or the Help Center (from Help > Adobe Elements Help)..?

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much Chuck! The directions were easy and very clear! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
To answer Mike's question.....
In my editor there is a box in the corner with a question mark next to it. In the dialog box it says "type a question for help." Then, I just assumed that after I type a question I would push the little question mark to get some sort of help.....
but nothing happens.
Is there another place to go to when the manual says "see help"?

You should be able to access Help via the Editor - do you have XP SP2?
Alternatively on the top tool bar go to Help and from the menu choose Adobe Elements Help (or press F1). This will bring up the Adobe Help Center. In the Product window, make sure you have PSE4 selected (rather than Adobe Help Center 2.0).

You may have the same problem I had when I first loaded PSE4. The help files were missing altogether. You should go to the support page at http://www.adobe.com/support/products/photoshopel.html
When you get there check half way down the page for "browse recent documents" (in red type) and when the list comes up look for one about missing help files. There are very good instructions on how to solve the problem but it involves uninstalling the software and re-installing from the desktop with antivirus shut down and the startup menu de-activated. Hope this helps.

Yes I have XP.
Ihave done this....pushed F1 and just went to the Help drop menu and clicked on Photoshop Elements. Still nothing. Nothing pops up nor I am redirected anywhere.
