I am thinking of exchanging my old crt monitor for a new lcd one.
There are so many new manufactures now it is difficult to keep up with the best.
Has anyone any suggestions for one that will do good general use and best for photography?

Brian.

Hi Brian,

I recently purchased a Samsung. It has a 600:1 aspect ratio and we are delighted with the quality.

Hi Brian,

So am I... in the next day or so infact... I've been looking at Samsung and LG - they both seem to have good quality 17" monitors within my budget.

I have the SyncMaster 711 17" by Samsung. It fit my budget and I'm happy with it. :)

I have a 17" View Sonic. I really like it and you will be very happy when you get a flat screen monitor and regain all that desk space.

I have a syncMaster793MB 17" and DID like it, but after about a year I am noticing every once in a while I am getting flashing lines on my screen. They go away and come back periodically. :(
