I am working on a calendar using the templates from the PSE extras section. How can I change the color of the grids and title? I want to make the black grids and numbers white.

Hi Tina ...

Open up the page in Elements.
Go to the Layers Palette and Lock the Transparency of the layer
Then ...

Select white as your foreground colour
if you want it all white just do Edit>Fill Layer
if you only want part of it white then get a hard paint brush and paint over the areas you want to be white.

Hope that helps :)

What I did was press Ctrl+I to invert the colors from Black to White

And, at the risk of too many cooks in the kitchen (;)), I grabbed the Magic Wand tool, unchecked Contiguous in the Options Bar, and clicked on one of the letters to select it, which caused all the letters, numbers, and grids to be selected, since they were the same color.

But, I like Wendy's way better (great for any color or combination of colors), and Johnny's way for the simple inverse. Can't beat that.

We all got to the top of the mountain...they were just up there enjoying the view and a snack while I was still huffing and puffing on the long trail up! :D

(I think my high school English teacher may have mentioned something about mixing metaphors...sorry, Mrs. K. You really were an awesome teacher.)

Thats what I like about Photoshop. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Now why someone would want to skin a cat, I don't know.

Thank you all,
Iwas just having a brain block and could not remember how to do it. Now that I read what to do I remember how I should have done it. Sometimes we just get those senior moments and can't even reember our own names.
Thanks
Tina B:)
