Type won't show up

I'm trying to place type on my photo. I follow directions, see the text I have typed in the layers palette, the color is set different than the background, the opacity is 100%, the size is adequate, but I can not see the type. Hmphf, anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Make sure your type layer is on the top of the layers and not hidden under the photo you are trying to put it on.

Thanks for the quick response. Looks like it is the top layer already. Any other ideas?

You say the size is adequate. What happens if you increase the size? Does it still not show up?

Niki,

Extremely low resolution (PPI) can cause text to appear miniscule, even though it has otherwise-normal attributes.

Check your image resolution in the Image Size dialog and adjust things there if that's the case.

Or you could switch your Text units from Points to Pixels, if the resolution is the problem, but you want a low resolution.
