Upgrading

Hello,

This my first time here. I just found the forum! I am sooo happy about that.

I am using Elements 2 and just bought 4. Do I need to uninstall 2 or just leave it on my computer?

Hello and welcome to the forums, kssaa !

You don't have to unistall version 2, you can keep it. In fact, if you have addons such as Grant's tools, they don't all work with PSE4, so it's better to keep PSE2 installed.

Thanks for getting back to me! I'm worried about hard drive space. I don't have any add-ons. Is there any other advantage to keeping it?

... and welcome to the forum :)

You may find that at some time in the future you want ot experiment with addons like Grant's tools ... so if you do un-install PSE2 then keep the disk somewhere safe :)

If you are going to uninstall it then I would do it before you install PSE4 as unbinstalling afterwards can cause a few problems :)

Oh, and make sure you have the serial number for PSE2 before uninstalling it! A lot of people uninstal but can't reinstall because they lost the serial.
