Does anyone have good ideas for homemade photo announcements for my senior's graduation? Any links or ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Are

Hi,
I'm sure there are a ton of ways you could approach this. There are some good collages/montages in the gallery that might give you inspiration. Also, there are freebies and kits available on the DSU scrapbooker site that you might find helpful (you just have to register). Go here to look at one take on this and also a link to a bunch of layouts:

I'm not sure how experienced you are with PSE or if you're a subscriber- there are tutorials in the subscriber area that are not only helpful in learning the tool but in giving you ideas on how to approach projects. Good luck! Let us know how it goes (and if you need help, there are some very smart and helpful users on here!)

There is an awesome kit with pieces to make a very announcment from WWW.cottagearts.net. I used it for graduation cards and other digital scrapbook layouts. If I can figure it out I'll post the card o you can see it. DebraG

Thanks, I'm pretty new to digital scrapbooking. Ultimately I want to get a combination of both. I used the same kit to do this lo for my husband's 50th b'day.

That looks nice ... My husband has a birthday coming up so I think I may play with that idea :)

Have you gotten any ideas on your invitations? I too am looking for the same type of thing. I was thinking of putting my fovorite picture of my son on the front (faded) and then on the inside...a faded collage in the background and info in forground. Please let me know what you've got.

I just found out about your site and joined the forum today. Looks like I will have lots to learn - I got PSE4 for a great price during the holidays and need to dive in to the program.
My daughter graduated two years ago and I made her announcement and open house invites. Her school colors were blue and white, with silver accents. I bought a wedding invitation kit that came with the cardstock, vellum and ribbon. I used her senior pictures - her favorite large one - on the invite by turning it in to a B&W, then highlighting her ring stone (blue) as the only color. On the open house invite I used square brads (to look like the cap) and blue/white threads to make a tassel - which I attached to the upper right corner.
Attached is the announcement (I blurred her name) Sorry the velum is crooked but you get the general idea.
Hope this makes sense. Can't wait to have fun on this site!
