Please see my original posts under a thread by some other person somewhere in this world wide web area for additional background info...
So, I'm hoping ATR is out there...
I'm receiving MEDIA OFFLINE message when I reopen my ELEMENTS 7 after it closes from some error. I originally blamed my wife and her nuclear powered blow dryer that knocked our power out when I was editing, but I believe there is some bug to blame. I repaired my ELEMENTS using my disc but still have the problem. Recently, the MEDIA OFFLINE showed up after I brought a TITLES icon to the timeline. Go figure. The only other thing I'm doing differently is capturing straight to the timeline, whereas before I did not and had no problem. Sometimes I encounter the little yellow triangle with the black exclamation point icon telling me that my DESKTOP WAS RESTORED DUE TO A VIDEO CARD ERROR...or something like that. Actually, it says something about the DESKTOP DISPLAY MODE not working. I clear the message and continue on.
I've tried to relocate my media and all that other stuff ADOBE HELP says but I am unable to click on LOCATE MEDIA all the time...never seen it highlighted.
About my system: WXPpro, good video card and 3GB RAM, Dell desktop
Thanks to anyone who reads this
